I recently shared an article on ways Laziness will kill and delay your dreams. And let me say, its an introduction of this topic. So let’s continue by analyzing the major ways to deal with, get rid of overcome laziness and get motivated.

In the previous post on this topic we were able to know the complete definition of laziness and how to know if laziness is attacking you or not.

Although, laziness is common and a natural part of life, it has the potential to completely consume us. Personally there are times laziness causes me to feel trapped, no matter what I do, I cannot shake it off. I feel tired, sit down for some time and feel unable to be active, avoiding to do anything productive.

Being lazy is actually depressing, in order to carry out our daily activities and work efficiently we must learn how to overcome laziness.

Here are four (4) ways of overcoming laziness

  1. Split your tasks

We often avoid some task because we see them too big or tiring or that it will take too much of our time.

Splitting a big task into smaller tasks can solve this problem. Then, each one will not seem too difficult or intimidating. Instead of having one big tasks, we will have a series of small tasks which do not require much effort.

This is applicable not only to tasks but also to our daily goals and everything else we have or need to do. It will definitely melt down or get rid of most of the laziness and inner-resistance we experience all the time.

  1. Take exercise, Rest and Sleep

Exercise is the simplest way to overcome laziness. We sometimes feel lazy at the completion of a task that seem too difficult, in some cases, laziness is due to being lazy and lacking energy. if this is true in your case, you need to give yourself the rest and sleep you need, and also give yourself some exercise and fresh air.

  1. Get motivation

Mostly, the reason for most people’s laziness is due to lack of motivation. I discovered that you can strengthen your motivation through affirmation, visualization and thinking about the importance of performing your daily task or achieving your goal. To get rid of your laziness get motivation and stay motivated.

TELL YOURSELF:

“I can accomplish my goal”
“I have the energy to whatever I need do”
“Doing things make me stronger”
“Doing things make things happen”
And, above all, think of the benefits when the task is done

  1. Say no to “Procrastination”

I will simply say avoid procrastination which is a major form of laziness. If there is something you need do, why don’t you do it right away and get through with it? Why let it remain at the back of your head?. Avoid procrastination, Go ahead, Do it now

Overcoming laziness is achieved through series of daily actions and activities, when you choose to act, you increase your ability and overcome your laziness. You get stronger, you also increase your ability to always win, achieve goals and improve your live
